I bought myself a smart phone for when I'm out and about at local festivals, and admit that I sometimes struggle to tweet the pics due to connection issues- what's your experience of mobile coverage in and around Tonbidge?

The BBC commissioned a survey of UK mobile phone coverage, asking people to download an app for Android phones, and over 44,000 people allowed their phones to be tracked to record their mobile coverage in July.

The results suggest that the operators claims of 90% 3G coverage just isn't true, with notspots still in many towns and cities. Testers reported that they had to rely on the older 2G for 25% of the time. And with so many people now relying on mobile internet connections for much of their day to day work-on-the-go, how much of an inconvenience is caused to you when your mobile signal suddenly drops out or there isn't one when you need it most?

The BBC have a handy little gadget for seeing what coverage is like in your area - visit their website here armed with your postcode and check it out.

In my experience in and around Tonbridge I would estimate it is about 50 per cent, which is frustrating to say the least!
