Kids from Woodlands Infant School in Tonbridge have been having fun and training with Physique Fitness Training's champion trainer Henry Adekoya.

More than 165 pupils in Years 1, 2 and 3 had the chance to discover the fun of fitness and dance with sessions especially developed by the top trainer. The pupils' exercise sessions were the result of their parents collecting Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers.

Henry, who is a former champion in-line skater, said: "As part of Physique Fitness Training, I work with a number of children and I believe the sooner children are switched on to the health benefits of regular exercise the better. It's been great to play my part in delivering the Sainsbury's Active Kids initiative."

Suzi Morgan, Head teacher at Woodlands Infant School, said: "Henry has been very inspirational it's been a great way to start the year, the children were very enthusiastic and the teachers too! All the children taking part were keen to inform their parents of Henry's fun class, and the feedback from parents has been fantastic. It has defiantly been smiles all round." Henry Murfin of Cedar class, said: "I wish we could do it again, we all had a really fun time."

Sainsbury's selected Henry Adekoya after his success with other local schools including Claremont Primary School in Tunbridge Wells and other in primary schools around Kent and Sussex.

As a keen sportsman Henry played for Cruisers in-line skating team, and won the national and international championships. Henry has also trained athletes that have played for Harlequins RFC, Arsenal FC, and Scotland RFC, as well as county players in rugby, cricket, hockey and tennis.

Having worked as a fitness instructor since 1995, Henry has a wealth of experience and qualifications in key areas of fitness such as weight loss, total body conditioning, pilates and rehabilitation, senior health and fitness, as well as children's fitness. As well as working with individuals, Henry has also successfully developed classes offering circuit training, exercise to music, and dance choreography.
