Hildenborough horse trader cleared of rape

A HILDENBOROUGH horse trader was cleared of raping a customer at his stables.

James (Chuck) Brizzell, 38, was found not guilty by a jury of six men and six women at Maidstone Crown Court last week on Friday.

The jury was told any contact of a sexual nature that took place at his stables at Limes Farm in Mill Lane was with the agreement of the woman who is married and has children.

The rape was alleged to have taken place on June 12 last year after the woman drank some wine at the stables while discussing the purchase of a horse.
