Hundreds of homes in Kings Hill were left without phone and internet connections after thieves tried to steal cabling.

Around 4,000 homes were reportedly disconnected yesterday after cabling in Tower View was cut in the early hours.

Engineers were on the scene today and BT said it hoped all affected homes would be reconnected by the end of the day.

Anyone with information about the theft attempt should phone police on 101, quoting crime reference YY/18564/12.
