After being turned down to start a new 'free' primary school, a group of campaigners may turn their sights on a new secondary school for Kings Hill.

Secondary School children from Kings Hill currently travel as far away as Tunbridge Wells, Invicta on the other side of Maidstone and even up to Kings in Rochester, not to mention the private schools in Sevenoaks.

Angela Vincent of the Kings Hill Five recently put forward a proposal to open a third primary school for Kings Hill at a former Uni of Greenwich building on the development, but was turned down by the Department of Education.

The proposal was rejected despite 48 children already being signed up -  party because the site was too expensive.

Now Angela is considering trying again with a secondary school proposal.

What do you think? I for one, as the new term approaches, think it's a good idea. I feel so sorry for those children standing at the bus stop from 7.20am and not ruturning until almost 5pm because they  have so far to travel (on such poor public transport.)

Good luck to the Kings Hill Five. I suspect it's a pipe dream though... as I can't see how you can get a cheap site on Kings Hill. :(
