THE recent thefts in Crowborough and Tonbridge are not the first time thieves have targeted post boxes.

The disappearances in East Sussex came a week after a metal Victorian post box was stolen from the junction of Court Lane and Canton Place in Hadlow on April 20.

Police are investigating the incident.

On February 16 in Spring Lane, Burwash, thieves not only swiped the box but the post that was holding it up.

A post box which was stolen from Gedges Hill in Brenchley in 2007, has still not been replaced.
