Blue Square Bet South club Tonbridge Angels have announced that their partnership agreement with Hadlow College has been extended for another three years.

Chairman Steve Churcher said: "Hadlow College have been fantastic sponsors of the Angels during the past three seasons and the extension will only strengthen our existing close relationship.

"The College already have an established award winning educational team and I am excited by the prospects that our continued partnership can bring.

"I believe that the Academy is the future for Tonbridge Angels FC as we look to find our next `gem` of a player and extend our reach further into the local community.

"The Academy with Hadlow College was set up a little over a year ago and our first year has proven successful both in terms of student numbers and performance.

"Students are prepared for Level 2 or 3 in Sport and one of last years' Academy students will be taking up a place to read for a BSc in Sports Science at the University of East Anglia very shortly.

"Early indications are that our second year intake will be even better and we look forward to receiving updates from our coaches John Gibbons and Chris Hollyoak on a regular basis.

"I would also like to personally thank Mark Lumsdon-Taylor, Paul Hannan and Lynda Brown from Hadlow College for their continued support of Tonbridge Angels Football Club as well as thanking Garry Pass and John Gibbons who were also pivotal during the discussions to extend our partnership."
