Kent County Council has issued a warning about Tonbridge residents receiving a cold call from a company offering free insulation for their home.

The caller claimed that this has to be done over the next two years and that the work could result in a council tax reduction.  When the resident asked for a company name none was given.

Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council have advised that there is no requirement to have insulation installed and there will not be a council tax reduction.

Please contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 08454 040506 if you have experienced similar calls.
