It comes as The Met Office issued a severe weather warning for heavy snow across many parts of the UK.
Today, between 2 and 5cm of snow is expected to fall over the southeast, and up to 10cm could fall over hilly areas.
Shaun Maltby, who runs the Kent Weather site, says the county can expect a wind chill of between -8 to -10°C.
And the freezing weather is due to continue into the weekend.
The forecast for Saturday to Monday says: "Very cold with an ice risk throughout. Windy with further sleet or snow likely Saturday.
"Winds ease Sunday, mainly dry but rather cloudy. Outbreaks of rain, sleet or snow Monday."
Experts are warning the public to prepare for problems likely to be cause by snow and ice.
Eddy Carroll, chief forecaster at the Met Office, said: "Clearly there is the potential for significant disruption to peoples plans.
"We should all keep up to date with the latest weather forecasts, advice from local agencies and be prepared to change our travel plans if necessary."
