Tribute has been paid to the Surrey motorbike rider who died in a crash on the A21 near Tonbridge on Wednesday, September 19.

The family of 54-year-old Oxted father-of-six Michael Cunningham said he was 'their pride and joy' and were 'devastated by the news'.

Their statement said: 'He leaves behind a beautiful wife, six beloved children, and two adored grandchildren.

'Michael was the biggest character you could ever meet.  His adventurous shenanigans started at a young age and never stopped.

'His strength and fierce determination saw him bravely battle cancer and overcome it, only to sadly be lost two years later in this shocking incident.

'His family was his pride and joy and they are devastated by the news.  He will be deeply missed as he was one in a million and treasured by all who knew and loved him.'

Mr Cunningham previously lived in St Helens, Merseyside.
