Kent County Council has released this video explaining how it is ready for winter.

Carol Valentine, winter service manager, says: 'We've got over twenty three thousand tonnes of salt in our barns around the county and we will be using that salt on a third of our network, that's our main 'A' and 'B' roads to keep those strategic routes clear when we get bad weather.'

She then goes on to show some of the 2,500 tonnes of salt they have stored around the county.
