Can you help police in Tonbridge catch man who assaulted 21 year old woman by Tonbridge High Street on 9th April?
Between midnight and 1am the woman walked down the High Street in the direction of Tonbridge train station. She turned right into the alleyway next to McDonalds and stopped for a moment to use her mobile phone. A man then grabbed her from behind and touched her inappropriately but she managed to push him away.
The man is described as white, aged 25-35, with brown, shaved hair and an unshaven/stubbly face. He was wearing a bright green T-shirt with printing on the front and a dark grey jumper.
Det Con Scott Ennals said: ‘This incident happened on a typically busy night in Tonbridge so I am hoping that there will be a number of people who will come forward and speak to us. I would particularly like to hear from a man called either Robbie or Ryan who walked down the High Street with the woman before the incident happened, but was not involved in it, as he could have information which will help us with our inquiries.'
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 01732 379217 (if possible quoting reference 4902) or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their name.
