Trees are being chopped down

Where are you seeing trees chopped down?
You might like to report them to the local authority.
They might have TPO's on them.

Good point about Tree Preservation Orders.. I may contact the council.   

This is a general thing: they are being chopped along country lanes, in fields (no reasons given) and in surburbia, where I expect insurance companies complain about them. It is ok if they are coppiced though. They may overhang the road but they aren't being replaced with with suitable ones.
