Get your bike checked for summer!

Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council is working with cycling experts from Cycle Ops in Tonbridge to run a Bike Maintenance course for anyone aged 16 or over. During the course cyclists can make sure their bikes are roadworthy and learn how to check their condition, mend a puncture and make basic mechanical adjustments. No previous knowledge of bike maintenance is needed to take part in the course and demonstration bicycles will be provided.

The courses are split into two parts:
1. Puncture repair master-class, which takes place on Wednesday 11 May 2011 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Cycle Ops in Bank Street, Tonbridge. Cycling experts will demonstrate how to remove and refit wheels, check tyres and tubes and avoid punctures.
2. Bike check workshop, which takes place on Wednesday 25 May 2011, also from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Cycle Ops. Experts at this workshop will show how to clean and lubricate bicycles, how to check for roadworthiness and damage and assess the need for repair.

The total cost for the course, which includes both the master-class and the workshop, is £20 per person. Numbers are limited and people are encouraged to book early by calling 01732 876166
