AN ARTIST'S impression of a man whose body was found on railway tracks near Tonbridge has been released.

British Transport Police has still not been able to identify the man whose body was found on railway line close to Postern Lane on September 29, and have now taken the unusual step of releasing an e-fit image.

The man is described as aged between 50 and 60 years old, of slim build and around 5ft 7ins in height. His hair is thick, dark brown and greying at the sides.

At the time, the man was wearing black Wrangler jeans, a black Wrangler T-shirt and a grey-green round neck heavy knitted jumper made by Kilspindie of Scotland. On his feet he wore black Reebok Classic trainers and green socks.

Detective Inspector Ashley Cooper said: "Our specialist forensic artist created an e-fit of him and we are releasing it in the hope that someone may recognise him, even if they don't know him well, and come forward to us with information that could help us identify him."

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B3/LSA of 3/10/2012.
